The LiveryList Yard Owner Hub is a unique industry-recognised resource for owners and managers of all types of livery yards and equestrian establishments. It offers an extensive library of templates, resources, and guidance on all aspects of practical and administrative management of your yard.
These resources are brought to you completely free to access and use, with fully editable templates to be changed as required to meet the needs of your business.
The Yard Owner Hub was launched in 2018 and was created and developed by livery yard business expert Cheryl Johns, founder of LiveryList, the UK’s leading Livery Yard Directory, in response to the lack of concise information available for business owners within the equestrian livery industry. Since the launch of LiveryList in 2011, it was noticeable there was a shortage of guidance, support and resources for yard owners. In recent years Cheryl has worked hard with leading equestrian businesses, organisations and charities to create, develop and share guidance for the industry, and in 2019 this was collated into a dedicated Yard Owner Hub on the main LiveryList website, and was subsequently launched as a standalone platform in 2023.
As a qualified yard manager and qualified business consultant specialising in the equestrian industry, Cheryl has a unique perspective to be able to both understand the industry and help support yard owners with their business needs. Cheryl also works as a consultant with many of the businesses, organisations and charities who contribute to the Hub, helping them to improve and develop their understanding of the needs of business owners in the livery industry, and to help educate horse owners and yard owners about expected industry best practice and sustainability in terms of yard, equine and client management.
As well as writing regularly, or featured in, a multitude of equestrian online and digital publications such as Horsemart, H&H and Horse and Rider, we have a dedicated News and Blog page on the website with focus articles, and industry news directing yard owners to valuable information and resources to keep their businesses compliant, and up to date. LiveryList are also proud members of the British Equestrian Trade Association who recognise and understand the unique resources and support we offer within the industry.
We also run a useful support network for Yard Owners via our Facebook Group Livery Yard Owners UK: Discussions and Advice, offering real time guidance and support to almost 3000 yard owners across the UK.
